In London, a 13-year-old boy died on Tuesday after being attacked by a sword-wielding man. Apart from that, the swordsman also stabbed two policemen on the street in the eastern part of the city.

The police said that they have arrested a 36-year-old man as a suspect through remote control. The incident is not believed to be terrorism-related.

Chief Inspector Stuart Bell of Greater London Police said the injured officers required surgery for their injuries. However, no one's injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

An injured 13-year-old boy was also taken to the hospital, but died from his injuries, according to Bell.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said that this incident is shocking.

– Such violence has no place on our streets, he told the news service In X.

Videos and photos posted on social media show a man in a yellow shirt on the street with a samurai sword-like weapon.

The resident, who did not want to be named, said the suspect hid behind a window while he was outside his home and yelled at police: Do you believe in God?

Another witness said he saw two officers chase the man down and tell him to put the gun down. Police officers in England, Scotland and Wales do not usually carry guns, but they do carry stun guns.
