The moment speaks to Florida’s pain

The Florida Panthers are in a tight spot.

The Florida Panthers lost their second consecutive Stanley Cup Final, falling to the Edmonton Oilers 3-5 in Game 5.

Florida is already a crushing 1-8. The latest defeat added to the frustration.

Florida’s tight end is reflected in one moment in particular in the tournament. The club’s general manager Bill Zito was furious in the stands when Oilers captain Connor McDavid finished the final score with an empty net.

TV footage showed Zito returning after forcefully smashing a drink bottle against the wall of his shed.

Before McDavid scored, Florida’s star player Matthew Tkachuk put in a tremendous performance. The American forward jumped and slid the puck over the goal line to make the save.

– Crazy Rescue, wondered a user of messaging service X.

– This is ridiculous, another surprise.

It didn’t help, though, that McDavid bagged from the next situation. In the end, McDavid scored 2+2 power points to lead his team to victory.

The Oilers narrowed the final series to 2-3. The teams should try to level the series in their own den when they next meet on Saturday morning, Finnish time.
