Wilma Murdo opened her outdoor track season with a top domestic finish | game

Wilma Murto of Salon Wilpapa topped the domestic list with a 460 in the women’s pole vault event in Lahti.

Earlier in the spring Espoo IF’s Saga Andersen scored 442 runs.

Murdo, the 2022 European champion and next year’s World Cup triple, only started his outdoor track season at the Lahti GP due to Achilles tendon problems. His record in outdoor tracks is 485.

Both Bass and Mononen extended their records on the track

Jonsu’s Kadajan Mette Paas made a big record breakthrough by finishing second in the women’s 400m in 52.10 seconds on a hot athletics evening in Lahti. Bass bettered last year’s record in Lahti by 0.35 seconds.

Canada’s Lauren Gale won in 51.37 seconds.

– It ran successfully based on speed distribution. It was a good back to chase all the way. It turned out well, Bass reiterated.

The 23-year-old Paz from Lavia will prepare for the next EC Championships in Rome in early June.

– (Record) I hope it doesn’t end there, there is still room for improvement.

Milja Duresen finished third with a season-best 53.19. Aino Pulkinen finished fourth with 53.48 seconds.

Ilona Mononen continued her strong finish on the track for a moment after the pass’s feat. In the women’s 3,000m steeplechase the endurance runner from Ahkera in Lahti clocked a record of 9:36.88 and was 0.12 seconds off her time at the European Championships in Rome.

Mononen, who improved her record by more than four seconds, finished second in the race, losing to Ukraine’s Natalija Strepkova by one-hundredth.

– We set off on a wave. It’s a very good thing, 20-year-old Mononen rejoiced.
