The hotel complex is now owned by Kotka's A.K. The company is backed by American Arthur Karaman, who owns two other hotel companies in Finland.

Lots of twists and turns for sales
The previous owner of Hotel Bungaharju was a businessman Got Hoyer Simon Nature Tourism Oi. The company filed for bankruptcy in April 2023.
The hotel property was sold only after two bids. The couple that won the summer auction withdrew their bid in September.
